The Halay needs room. The line stretches the full width of the ballroom, accelerates with the music, and asks the venue not to cut the volume halfway through.

Our ballrooms hold the line. Live davul and zurna welcomed. No sound limiter. Late licence available.

Hummus, sarma, sigara böreği, ezme, cacık to the table first. Adana, İskender, şiş and lamb kuzu tandır to follow. Baklava and künefe at the close.

Halal kitchen as standard. Full bar — rakı, wine, beer — for families who want it. Çay throughout.

Can we hold the Nikah and civil ceremony at the same venue?
Yes. Meridian Grand is licensed for civil ceremonies on-site, conducted by Enfield Register Office. Many Turkish families hold the Nikah and the civil ceremony on the same day — one event flowing into the other, with no travel between rituals.

Is there space for the Halay?
Yes. Both ballrooms are pillar-free. The Halay line typically stretches the full width of the room, accelerates with the davul and zurna, and asks for room and volume. Meridian Grand has neither pillars nor a sound limiter.

How long can the Takı take?
Anywhere from thirty to sixty minutes, depending on guest count. The Takı is a formal, documented exchange — each guest approaches, pins their gift, and is photographed. The timeline is built around it, not despite it.

Can we host the Kına Gecesi at Meridian Grand?
Yes. Kına Gecesi is typically smaller, around 50 to 200 guests, primarily women, and emotionally weighted. Meridian Grand offers intimate spaces suited to the night’s tone, with the privacy and warmth it asks for.

Is your kitchen Halal — and can you cook secular Turkish menus too?
Halal kitchen as standard. For Muslim Turkish families every dish leaves the kitchen Halal. For secular Turkish families our chefs cook the same Turkish menus to your specification. Vegetarian meze available across both.

Do you serve rakı?
Yes. Meridian Grand operates a fully licensed bar. For Turkish families who want rakı with the meze, it is on the menu — alongside wine, beer and Turkish coffee. For families who prefer a dry event, the bar simply does not serve. The choice is the family’s.
