Spraying runs without interruption. Guests step onto the floor and place money on the couple as they dance, and the floor team is briefed to work around it.

How many guests can Meridian Grand seat for a Nigerian wedding?
Between 120 and 800 across two pillar-free ballrooms, with most Nigerian weddings seated at 200 to 600. The Meridian Ballroom takes up to 400 and the Grand Ballroom up to 700. Combined as the Meridian Grand Ballroom, the space seats up to 800 in one continuous room.

Can the traditional engagement and the reception be held at the same venue on the same day?
Yes. Most Nigerian weddings at Meridian Grand run as one full day: the traditional engagement in the afternoon, a room reset, then the reception from late afternoon onwards. Meridian Grand is also licensed for civil ceremonies, so the legal marriage can take place on site.

Is spraying allowed inside the venue?
Yes. Spraying is expected here rather than merely permitted. Guests step onto the floor and place money on the couple as they dance, and the floor team is briefed to work around it without interrupting the celebration.

Can you cater an authentic Nigerian menu for 500 guests?
Yes. The in-house kitchen handles the full Nigerian menu at 500 plus covers: small chops, jollof rice, fried rice, suya, asun, pounded yam with egusi or pepper soup, and chin chin. Fully halal service is available across the whole menu where the wedding requires it.

Is there a sound limiter for a live band and a DJ, and what time does the night finish?
No sound limiter and no music restriction, so a live band, a DJ, or both run at full volume. Events finish by 3am at the absolute latest under the venue’s late licence. Production lighting is integrated into both ballrooms rather than hired in. The venue FAQs carry the full technical detail.

For a Hausa Muslim wedding, can you deliver full halal and segregation?
Yes. The kitchen runs fully halal with no non-halal product handled, and the wedding runs without a bar. Full segregation is available for up to 800 guests, with separate entrances, cloakrooms and service staff. See Muslim weddings for the religious detail.

Where is Meridian Grand, and is there parking for a large Nigerian wedding?
Advent Way, London N18 3AF, in North London with A406 and M25 access. Nigerian families travel to it from Peckham, Lewisham, Woolwich, Barking and Dagenham, and Thamesmead. On-site parking has 300+ spaces. Meridian Water station is a 10 minute walk.
