For smaller celebrations, the Eternity Suite and Infinity Suite are available for enquiry from two months before the event date, and bookable six weeks in advance.

2 Are the ballrooms at Meridian Grand pillar-free?

Yes — both the Grand Ballroom and Meridian Ballroom are completely pillar-free. Every seat has an unobstructed view of the stage, and traditional cultural layouts (mandap, chuppah, multi-tiered top tables) set without column compromises.

3 Can the ballrooms be combined for a larger wedding?

Yes. The Meridian Ballroom and Grand Ballroom can be used independently or combined into the Meridian Grand Ballroom for ceremony and reception in one continuous space, or for very large guest counts up to 800 seated.

An exclusive booking gives your event sole use of the entire venue — all ballrooms, all shared spaces, no other events on site that day. 4 What is a non-exclusive booking?

A non-exclusive booking gives you full use of one or more ballrooms while another celebration runs elsewhere in the venue at the same time. Each ballroom operates independently with separate staffing, soundproofed partitions, and service teams — your event runs without interference from the neighbouring one.

5 If two weddings run at the same time, are the ballrooms soundproof?

Yes. Purpose-built partition walls with two soundproofed layers and acoustic treatment mean music, speeches, and entertainment in one ballroom cannot be heard in another. Dhol, DJs, and live bands run at full volume without affecting neighbouring events.

6 How are guest arrivals handled if two events run at the same time?

When two events are running, the foyer is professionally partitioned into separate arrival and reception areas for each celebration. Guest flow is managed entrance-to-ballroom for privacy and a clear distinction between events.

7 Is there a minimum guest count at Meridian Grand?

There is no absolute minimum. Events at Meridian Grand typically start from around 120 guests, with the Infinity Suite and Eternity Suite occasionally hosting smaller celebrations — please enquire to discuss.

8 What deposit and payment terms apply?

A signed contract and deposit secure your date, followed by staged payments before the event. Full terms are provided in writing before commitment — our team walks you through this against your enquiry.

9 Can Meridian Grand host multi-day weddings (Mehndi, Nikah, Walima)?

Yes. Multi-day celebrations across any faith and tradition are common at Meridian Grand — for example, Mehndi on day one, Nikah on day two, Walima on day three. Consecutive-day bookings are arranged with the events team managing décor changes and room reconfigurations between days. Common for Pakistani, Hindu, and Somali weddings.

10 Can we hold both the ceremony and reception at Meridian Grand?

3 Is there a licensed bar — and can we bring our own drinks?

Yes to both. Meridian Grand operates a fully licensed bar with a range of drinks options, and we offer corkage for couples supplying their own alcohol.

4 Can Meridian Grand cater for vegetarian, vegan, and special dietary needs?

Yes. Our in-house chefs handle vegetarian, vegan, allergen-controlled, and community-specific menus — including Jain (onion-free, garlic-free) for Hindu weddings.

Cultural & Faith Requirements

1 Can Meridian Grand host a Jewish wedding with a chuppah, open-sky requirement, and ritual hand-washing?

Yes. Meridian Grand has a dedicated indoor space with a retractable roof, so the chuppah can be placed facing Jerusalem and the couple stands under the open sky while guests remain fully indoors. Chuppahs can also be erected outside on our grounds, within or outside a marquee. Dedicated spaces for Tisch and Bedeken are available, Netilat Yadayim (ritual hand-washing) facilities are in the foyer before entry to the main ballrooms, and our 3am licence allows for late-night Mitzvah Tantz. 3 Can Meridian Grand host a Hindu wedding with Mandap, Havan, Mehndi, and Baraat?

Yes. Meridian Grand supports the full Hindu wedding sequence — Mandap ceremonies, Havan (sacred fire), Mehndi events, and Jaan arrivals. Pillar-free ballrooms with 7-metre ceilings give traditional ceremonial layouts clear sightlines, and Jain catering (vegetarian, onion-free, garlic-free) is available where required.

4 Does Meridian Grand host weddings from other cultures, faiths, and mixed-heritage celebrations?

Yes. Yes. Décor is handled by our in-house studio Midnight Garden, and lighting and AV are provided in-house by the events team — no separate suppliers to coordinate.

2 Is there a sound limiter or music curfew at Meridian Grand?

No. Meridian Grand has no sound limiter and no music restriction. Full-volume DJs, dhol, live bands, and extended celebrations run uninterrupted, with our late-night licence extending to 3am.

Corporate Events

1 Can Meridian Grand host large corporate events and conferences?

Yes. Meridian Grand hosts corporate events — gala dinners, anniversaries, awards dinners, and private business functions. The events team handles venue setup, catering, production, theming, branding, entertainment, and on-the-day coordination end-to-end.
