1 How many guests can Meridian Grand accommodate?

120–800 seated guests across two pillar-free ballrooms that can be combined into one continuous space. The Meridian ballroom suits celebrations from 120-350, the Grand Ballroom 300-500, or they can be combined for large weddings of up to 800 seated guests.

Meridian Grand also offers the Eternity Suite and Infinity Suite for use in conjunction with the ballrooms, or these can be used by themselves for small celebrations. These Suites are available for enquiry 2 months prior to the event date, and bookable 6 weeks in advance of the event date for smaller functions. Please contact us to enquire further.

2 Are the ballrooms pillar-free?

The Grand Ballroom and Meridian Ballroom are completely pillar-free, giving unobstructed views of the stage and flexible layouts for large cultural celebrations.

3 Can multiple ballrooms be combined for larger events?

Yes. The Meridian Ballroom and Grand Ballroom can be used independently or combined to become the Meridian Grand Ballroom, allowing ceremony and reception on the same day or very large guest counts.

Booking & Pricing

1 How much does it cost to hire Meridian Grand?

Pricing is bespoke, based on date, ballroom configuration, guest count, and catering. Venue hire for the Meridian Ballroom starts from £8,000. Please call us or submit an enquiry through our website and our team will be happy to give you a quote based on your preferences.

2 How do I book a viewing at Meridian Grand?

Interested parties can book a viewing at Meridian Grand by completing the enquiry form on the website or calling our team directly to arrange. Viewings are available throughout the week, including weekends by arrangement, and typically last 30–60 minutes. Please note that viewings must be booked in advance with our team.

3 What does an exclusive booking at Meridian Grand mean?

An exclusive booking means your event has sole use of the entire venue, including all ballrooms and shared spaces. No other events will take place on-site during your celebration. This option provides complete privacy, full control over arrival times and guest flow, and a fully dedicated venue team.

4 What is a non-exclusive booking?

A non-exclusive booking means your event takes place in one or more of our spaces, while another celebration may be held elsewhere in the venue at the same time. Each ballroom operates independently, with separate staffing and service teams to ensure your event runs seamlessly.

5 If two events are taking place, are the ballrooms soundproof?

Yes. The ballrooms are fully separated and acoustically treated, allowing events to run simultaneously without sound interference. Our purpose built partition walls have two soundproofed layers ensuring that music, speeches, and entertainment in one ballroom cannot be heard in another.

6 What happens in the foyer if two events are running at the same time?

When two events are taking place, the foyer is professionally partitioned to create clearly defined arrival and reception areas for each celebration. This ensures guest privacy, smooth arrivals, and a clear distinction between events. The team carefully manages guest flow from entrance to ballroom to maintain a seamless experience.

7 Is there a minimum guest count?

While we have no absolute minimum, our events usually start from around 120 guests. Our Infinity and Eternity Suites occasionally host smaller events, so please do not hesitate to enquire.

8 What deposit and payment terms apply?

A signed contract and deposit are required to secure your date, with staged payments before the event. Full terms are provided in writing before commitment and our team are more than happy to discuss this in relation to your enquiry.

9 Can Meridian Grand host multi-day wedding celebrations?

Yes. Meridian Grand hosts multi-day celebrations for any faith and culture — for example, Mehndi on day one, Nikah on day two, and Walima on day three. Consecutive-day bookings can be arranged, and the venue team manages decor changes and room reconfigurations between events. Multi-day bookings are common for Pakistani, Somali, and Hindu weddings at Meridian Grand.

10 Can we hold both the ceremony and reception at Meridian Grand?

Yes. Meridian Grand regularly hosts ceremonies and receptions under one roof, including multi-stage cultural weddings.

11 Is Meridian Grand licensed for Civil Ceremonies and legal weddings?

Yes. Meridian Grand is fully licensed to host civil ceremonies, allowing you to legally complete your marriage on-site as part of your wedding day.

Catering

1 Is halal catering available at Meridian Grand?

Yes. Halal catering is available at Meridian Grand, with halal-certified options provided by the in-house kitchen

2 Can Meridian Grand accommodate kosher catering for Jewish weddings?

The Meridian Grand kitchen is configured to support kosher catering, with separated preparation areas to meet religious requirements. We work with you to ensure arrangements are suitable for your event, including compliance with kashrut standards.

3 Is there a licensed bar and corkage option?

Yes. Meridian Grand has a fully licensed bar and offers various drinks packages. We also offer corkage for couples supplying their own alcohol.

4 Can you cater for vegetarian, vegan, and special dietary requirements?

Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, allergen-controlled, and community-specific menus are fully supported by our expert team of chefs.

Cultural & Faith Requirements

1 Can Meridian Grand host Jewish weddings with a chuppah, including open-sky requirements and ritual hand-washing facilities?

Yes. Meridian Grand can host Jewish weddings including chuppah ceremonies. We have a dedicated indoor space with a retractable roof, under which the Chuppah can be placed facing Jerusalem, allowing your guests the comfort of a fully indoor ceremony with the couple remaining under the open sky. For those who wish to, we also allow Chuppahs to be erected on our grounds outside both within and outside of a marquee setup. Meridian Grand has dedicated spaces for Tisch and Bedeken. The venue also provides Netilat Yadayim (ritual hand-washing) facilities in our foyer, prior to entry of the main Ballrooms. Our venue is licensed until 3am, allowing for a late night Mitzvah Tantz with close friends and family.

2 Can Meridian Grand host Nikah, Baraat, and Walima celebrations at one venue?

Yes. Meridian Grand is one of London’s largest-capacity venues for Muslim and Pakistani weddings, hosting Nikah, Baraat, and Walima celebrations under one roof. The venue offers vast ballrooms with 7 metre ceilings for 120 to 800 seated guests, halal catering, prayer facilities, optional gender segregation, and multi-day booking options for consecutive ceremonies.

3 Can Meridian Grand host Hindu wedding ceremonies including Mandap, Havan, Mehndi, and Baraat arrivals?

Yes. Meridian Grand supports full Hindu wedding celebrations, including Mandap ceremonies, Havan (sacred fire), Mehndi events, and Jaan arrivals. The pillar-free ballrooms and high ceilings allow traditional ceremonial layouts with clear guest sightlines, and vegetarian-only, onion-free and garlic-free Jain catering can be accommodated where
required.

4 Can Meridian Grand accommodate weddings from other cultures or mixed-faith celebrations?

Yes. Meridian Grand has hosted weddings across a wide range of cultures and traditions, including Nigerian, Ghanaian, Somali, Eritrean, Yemeni, Moroccan, Vietnamese, Turkish, Kurdish, Turkish Cypriot, Greek, Greek Cypriot, Caribbean, Afghan, and modern European celebrations. The team works closely with each couple to blend cultural traditions with the venue’s contemporary design, ensuring the event reflects your heritage while feeling entirely personal.

5 Is full gender segregation possible?

Yes. The venue can provide complete gender-segregated events for up to 800 guests, including separate entrances and female-only staff where required.

6 Are prayer facilities available on site?

Yes. Prayer rooms, complete with in-house prayer mats and ablution arrangements can be provided as required.

Decor, Production & Entertainment

1 Does Meridian Grand provide decor, lighting, and AV?

Yes. The venue offers in-house decor through our in-house company Midnight Garden, professional lighting and AV

2 Is there a sound limiter or music restriction?

No. There is no sound limiter, allowing full-volume music, DJs, dhol, live bands, and extended celebrations

Corporate Events

1 Can Meridian Grand host and manage large corporate events and conferences?

Yes. Meridian Grand hosts large-scale corporate events, conferences, gala dinners including company anniversaries, awards dinners, and private business functions. Our specialist events team can manage venue setup, catering, production, event theming and branding, entertainment and on-the-day coordination, ensuring planning runs smoothly
and delivery is seamless from start to finish.

2 Can Meridian Grand be used for film and TV?

Yes. Meridian Grand is available for film and television productions and has recently been used as a filming location for Hamlet, starring Riz Ahmed. The venue’s large pillar-free ballrooms, high ceilings, loading bays, adaptable layouts, and generous access areas make it well suited to set builds, lighting rigs, and production crews. Private hire options are available to accommodate full-scale filming requirements including multi-day bookings.

2 Does Meridian Grand offer parking spaces?

Yes. Meridian Grand offers up to 225 on-site car parking spaces, which extends to 300 spaces on evenings and weekends.

3 Is Meridian Grand accessible by public transport?

Yes. Meridian Grand is accessible from Tottenham Hale by bus or a short taxi journey. Alternatively the venue is a 10 minute walk from Meridian Water on the Greater Anglia trainline.
